Frequently Asked Questions

Is BHN strategically positioning itself to replace the RSN structure in the state?

The answer is a definitive NO!  BHN does not advocate for system change. We see RSNs as one of our important customers.  We are doing work with health plans and other systems who do work outside the scope of what RSNs do e.g., care transitions and to patient groups not served by RSNs.  We are pleased to work in a system in which RSNs are high performance specialty health plans.

Who are your affilitate providers?

New Alliance Counseling, Frontier Behavioral Health, Palouse River Counseling, Blue Mountain Counseling, Okanogan Behavioral HealthCare, Sound Mental Health, Good Samaritan Behavioral Healthcare, Cascade Counseling, Cowlitz County Guidance Association, Behavioral Health Resources, Willapa Counseling, Columbia River Mental Health, Kitsap Mental Health, Peninsula Behavioral Health and, of course, Compass Health and Central Washington Comprehensive Mental Health.

If I'm interested in contracting with BHN for behavioral healthcare service, how would I begin that process?

I'm interested in being a affilitate provider with BHN, how would I begin this process?

BHN builds its network of affiliates based on a number of factors.  These include statewide or service area coverage, adherence to BHN's performance, quality and operations standards, service capacity, etc.  We have built our network to insure we can maintain a high standard of quality and so that our partners can enjoy sufficient work to justify building and maintaining service capacity.  Not all affiliates participate in every business line.  As we have needs for additional capacity or, in cases in which an existing provider does not participate, BHN will recruit additional affiliates.

Please contact us by phone at 509-574-5101 or send us an email to talk about possibilities.
